2025 Event information

GENERAL INFORMATION

This information is provided in no particular order:

• The event is at Scienceworks, 2 Booker St, Spotswood 3015

• The event will only be on one day - this will be Sunday 19 October

• 2 adults may accompany each team entering Scienceworks, additional will be at cost, students are free

• Bring your own chairs, tents, etc for your comfort

• Bring clothing and sun protection to prepare for any possible weather

• There is parking onsite at Scienceworks, at cost

• There are no power points to operate tools or charge phones - you need to ensure your vehicle works and your phone is charged

Catering: Grazeland is nearby, there is an onsite cafeteria at Scienceworks

Location: all divisions in the main outdoor quadrangle through the main building

Awards: The main awards are - 

1st, 2nd and 3rd for Wellington cars

1st, 2nd and 3rd for Sheridan cars

1st, 2nd and 3rd for Junior boats

1st, 2nd and 3rd for Advanced boats

These will be presented on the day.

Depending upon numbers on the day and at the discretion of the judges there could be other awards for the following (and maybe other noteworthy attributes): 

Wellington cars: Fourth place, best engineered, car with most points scored, poster & video as well as team uniform.

Kit cars: Car placing fourth, overall best team performance on points, best poster, best team effort, best uniform and best decorated car.

Boats both junior & advanced: Best poster or video, and best uniform. 

These discretionary awards will be printed and presented on the day.
